What a sting they can deliver. Sir makes His own. A lot of them have evil little holes in them...,ouch. Those enhance the sting for sure. But holy cripes, are they hot, huh?
I find my thoughts being seriously conflicting when it comes to paddles, though. Around here paddles are one of the main implements that Sir uses for punishments. It's a real love hate thing for me. Love the way they instantly put me into place. Love that they really get the point across. Love the marks that they can leave. Love how my body responds to them. But yes, ouch. Very very effective.
With that said, as much as I love/
- Remember to relax. Try not to tense up. It seems silly, but a well delivered swat always hurts more when we tense up or flex.
- Remember to breathe. Take nice and slow deep breaths during. Again, try to stay relaxed.
- Focus. Focus on your submission. Or on why you are being paddled to begin with. Remind yourself of all the things that a good paddling brings to both you, and your Dominant.
- Let yourself sink into what is happening with your body. Soon your body will start responding to the endorphins, and you will likely fall into subspace. Once you do, those swats are going to be a bit easier to take. There are a couple types of subspace, but in this case it is said to be caused by endorphins and adrenaline.
- Let your body react. I don't know if it's just me, but even during punishment my body responds to it. Doesn't matter my state of mind, say I just got in trouble, lectured and now spanked.. I will still find myself wet, and my body....very responsive and ready to be used.
- This one may not help everyone, but it helps me. I love the marks the next day. I love that every time I sit down I can feel the impact the paddling had on my bottom and my mind. I try to remember this as those first swats start to sting, I look forward to the marks after and the feelings that come with them.
Great advice. I'm no fan of the paddle, prefer the flogger.
ReplyDeleteLove your new look - didn't think Blogger could do these things!
DelFonte Thank you hon! Mm, yes the flogger... I have a serious love/love for the flogger as well. And, thank you on the layout! It took me a few days of breaking the internet/code on it, but finally got it looking how I wanted. :d
DeleteGreat advice! I hate the wooden paddle for sure! For Father's Day last year I got Sir a weighted leather paddle/strop combo. (Actually two, a small one and a holy shit sized one!) I have a love/love relationship with both. The sting is amazing, and the weighted thud makes me melt into sub space. :)
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud at .."... a holy shit sized one!" lol!
DeleteSir had one for awhile, that he got from Old Chicago, had the little indents in it to hold small beers.. ever see those? Holy pickles, that thing hurt! lol. I sent it to Australia with MisKnickers... aren't I clever?! hahaha. But since then, we make them.. like the one I used in this post, the chalkboard paddle. That one was my first paddle design. :) I regret it, every time He uses it. lol.
I so agree on the weighted thud though... zooom, hello sub space! :)
xx Hugs!
Nice that you love the marks the next day and the feeling you get when you sit down. How long do the marks and the feelings last? And how often are you paddled?
ReplyDeleteFD
Hi there, FD! :)
DeleteMm, yes. I so do! I so love the constant reminder, especially being Sir likes to really get that 'sit spot' area. The marks lasting length usually depends on what all tools he used prior. He rarely ever uses just one implement per session. He seems to like to mix it up. Lately, with us getting back into place, it hasn't been much on how often. I am told that this weekend there will be a very long spanking session for some rule breaking, though.
W/we have been discussing maintenance spankings, and adding them back into the dynamics. What are your thought on maintenance spankings, if you don't mind me asking? :) xx
Remembering to breathe is usually my problem! Also, I've learned how painful the paddles with holes in them can be ...

Hi there, Dee! Thank you so much for commenting. :) I think remembering to breathe is a tough one for a lot of us! It's so easy to flex up and hold our breath. lol. Takes a lot of practice and remembering. :) Ouch, yes.. paddles with holes. x_x Sir says it has something to do with the air flow. I dunno, but Owww for sure!

Fantastic approach to the topic and as a top its fascinating to read both the suggestions and reactions.
ReplyDeleteHi there Malfic, and thank you so much!! :)
DeleteThat's my problem, learning to breath. I usually end up swearing at Sir and getting myself in more trouble!
ReplyDeletesub-Bee, Lol, I have so done the same in the past! Thank you so much for commenting. :) xx
DeleteOh I LOVE the marks too and you are so right about remembering to breathe that is something I find myself needing to concentrate on
ReplyDeletemollyxxx
molly, having something to concentrate on is so helpful indeed. :) Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting! :) xx
